Freshen Up Your Home Décor without Breaking the Bank |

| “Use What You Have Decorating” is one of my favorite ways to make “no cost” decorating changes. Just because you bought a lamp for your living room does not mean it can’t be moved to your master bedroom. Here is a list of decorating items that can be easily moved for a fresh look: |

Budget Friendly Ideas to Spruce up Your Home Décor |

| 1. Green house plants add life to your family room and orchids bring drama to your dining room. 2. Paint will give you the most dramatic change for your dollar. Change the feel of your room by choosing a new bright or warm color. 3. Adding new pillows, throws and rugs in a new color or pattern can give your sofa a brand new look. Animal prints are always in style. 4. Grab someone’s attention with a patterned or striped lampshade. Use three way light bulbs to create different moods in your home. |

5. Update your old photo frames with metallic paint or glass stones. 6. Add beaded trim to pillows, lamp shades and window treatments to create an illusion of movement and texture. 7. Purchasing a new sofa or chairs may not be on your to do list, but consider slipcovers or recovering quality furniture. Select a neutral colored fabric or slipcover and add pizzazz with accessories. 8. Arrange a mix of different size mirrors in a grouping to add visual interest to a wall. |
||
| 9. Drapery panels will soften your windows and give your room a finished look. 10. If your wooden furniture is looking a little too “distressed”, paint it black or chocolate brown. Metallic or high gloss paint add another texture to your room. New furniture hardware is another inexpensive update. I hope these budget friendly ideas will inspire you to update your home and make it the haven you desire and deserve.
